DISTRICT POPULATION AS PER CENSUS 2011

In 2011, Kargil had population of 140,802 of which male and female were 77,785 and 63,017 respectively. In 2001 census, Kargil had a population of 119,307 of which males were 64,955 and remaining 54,352 were females. Kargil District population constituted 1.12 percent of total Maharashtra population.
